Shipping

Once you receive an invoice, your order is tentatively placed on the production calendar. When we receive payment, it enters the production workflow. If you know your institution to be difficult with paperwork and sending out payments, please consider this when ordering. We cannot make exceptions to the payment-first policy.

During most times of the year, your order will be processed and shipped within 15 days of payment. We try to coordinate shipments from Australia to meet peak demand of the US rowing seasons, but the popularity of Crokers always sometimes exceeds our best predictions. Also, at certain times of the collegiate and scholastic rowing year, last-minute orders may cause a backlog in the system. When this happens, we will try to let you know in advance. If you ever have a question or concern, please contact us directly.

All USA sculling orders of 4 or less pairs requiring shipping are sent by FedEx, under the "Ground" option. Due to the size of the package, time of delivery cannot be guaranteed. It may take as much as 10 days depending on where you live. It is not possible to send oars overnight.

All Canadian sculling orders of 4 or less pairs requiring shipping are sent by Ground service through the most affordable courier, which varies by destination location. Due to the size of the package and Canadian customs issues, time of delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Orders of sweep oars, or more than 4 pairs of sculls, to USA or Canadian addresses are sent via LTL road carrier. Individual shipping quotes will need to be obtained.

Delivery charges vary by location. Some remote areas of North America may not be serviceable by any carrier.

Please provide the best address and phone contact information to efficiently deliver your oars. No temporary "regatta week" or "training camp" addresses can be accepted. A package that arrives at the address provided is considered delivered, whether you are there or not, regardless of when you were there.

When you receive your package, please inspect it immediately. We insure all shipments.

IMPORTANT: All shipments to Canada require your full name, permanent address and valid phone number. You are responsible for all customs duties, taxes and fees beyond the shipping and brokerage fees owed to us. Shipping to Canada is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, and unfortunately, these expenses must be passed to the customer. You may want to give some thought as to whether oars can be sent somewhere conveniently Stateside (Buffalo, NY; Detroit, MI, etc.). You are, of course, still legally obligated to report your goods to Canadian customs when crossing back into Canada, but the savings in shipping is money you could spend on other things.

We will not ship outside of the United States or Canada. If we suspect you are buying oars in bulk and reselling to other international locations, we reserve the right to terminate your order at any time and direct you through proper channels, either with the established Croker agent for that region, or through Croker Oars of Australia directly.

PLEASE NOTE:
All shipments should be signed-for and inspected in the presence of the shipping courier, if possible. FedEx requires this in many delivery regions. Please do not complain to us about their increased diligence. They are doing their job, and oars are a high-value item. When you sign for a package, any box damage must be reported at that time. If the shipment is left at a residential address, or damage to contents is discovered after opening, please report damage immediately to us so we can follow up with the courier and arrange an appropriate solution for you. Failure to open, inspect the oars, and report damage within five (5) working days of the package delivery date will be considered grounds for denial of any claim of shipping injury.
